SERVOS / FIELD

A technician view that works on the phone they already have.

Field software succeeds or fails in the ten minutes a technician spends with it in a loading bay. If it is slow, if it needs an install, if it asks for information the technician does not have standing there, it gets abandoned and the real record goes back to being a text message at the end of the day.

Today, and what today requires

The technician's view opens on the jobs assigned for today and what each visit actually involves — the property, the units in scope, the devices on the route, and the history that makes this visit different from the last one.

That is deliberately narrow. A technician does not need the operations schedule; they need the next thing, with enough context to do it without calling the office.

  • Today's assigned jobs in one list.
  • Check-in, check-out and service time recorded as the visit runs.
  • Guided job completion, in the browser.

Recorded on site, while it is still true

Everything captured after the fact is a reconstruction. Materials get approximated, findings get generalised, and the detail that made a note worth keeping is the first thing to go.

Capturing scans, materials, treatments, notes and photos during the visit is partly about accuracy and partly about the technician's evening. Work recorded on site is work that does not have to be written up later.

Why mobile web rather than an app install

Running the field experience in the browser removes a category of problems that has nothing to do with pest control: app store installs on personal phones, version skew between technicians, and a subcontractor who cannot start because provisioning has not happened yet.

A technician opens a link on the device they already carry. New technicians are working the same day rather than the day after IT gets to them.

The handoff back to the office

What the technician records is what the office sees. Completed work, issues raised, materials used and time on site flow into the work order and the account's service history without a re-entry step in between, which is the point at which most field data quietly dies.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions operators ask.

Is there a ServOS app for technicians?

ServOS runs as a mobile-web experience rather than a native app store download. Technicians open it in the browser on the phone they already carry, which avoids installs, version differences between technicians, and provisioning delays for new or subcontracted staff.

Can technicians record treatments and materials in the field?

Yes. Materials, chemical applications, treatment records, notes and photos are captured during the visit and attach to the completed job, rather than being written up afterwards.

Does ServOS track technician time on site?

Check-in, check-out and service time are recorded as part of completing a visit, and carry into the work order alongside the rest of the job's detail.

Does the technician view work without a signal?

ServOS is a browser-based experience and expects a working connection. Basements, freezers and back-of-house areas are a known reality of commercial work, and offline behaviour is part of what the beta programme is being used to get right before the wider launch in January 2027.
